- Is this birth chart calculator really free?
- Yes. The calculator is open to anyone, with no account and no payment. Membership is separate and temporarily free during our feedback period. We’ll announce the end date and future pricing in advance.
- What if I don't know my birth time?
- Without a birth time, we use noon as an estimate. Rising signs, houses and the Bazi hour pillar are omitted. Moon placements, nakshatra and other time-sensitive results may change with the actual time, especially near a boundary.
- Why do the Western and Vedic results differ?
- Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac, anchored to the equinox. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, anchored to the fixed stars. The gap between them — the ayanamsa, currently around 24 degrees — often shifts a placement back one sign. See the full comparison for every sign
- How accurate are the calculations?
- Calculation accuracy depends on your birth details, timezone and the conventions used. We use astronomy-engine for planetary positions, Lahiri for Vedic placements and a solar-calendar method for Bazi. Unknown birth times make time-sensitive results approximate. Interpretations are for reflection, not scientifically validated predictions.
- Do you store my birth details?
- No. They are sent once, used to calculate, and returned in the same response — nothing is written to a database, and this page carries no third-party analytics or trackers. Our host counts page views first-party and in aggregate. Two optional extras are worth knowing about: if you copy the share link, your birth details are inside that link, and if you sign in and ask us to email your chart to your verified account address, the email contains the same link. Both are opt-in and neither is needed to use the calculator.
