Seed cycling is a food habit, not a treatment: two tablespoons of ground seeds a day, swapped at roughly the halfway point of your cycle. It is easy to remember and easy to keep, which is most of why people stick with it. Here is the chart, plus the wider phase food we already teach in the Cycle Kitchen.
What the evidence actually says
Be clear-eyed here. There are no good clinical trials showing that seed cycling shifts oestrogen or progesterone, and the hormonal mechanism is inferred rather than demonstrated. What is well supported is that flax, pumpkin, sesame and sunflower seeds are good food: fibre, minerals, and unsaturated fat. If the chart helps you eat more of them and pay attention to your month, that is a real benefit — it just is not a hormonal intervention. Anything that looks like a medical problem, including cycles that are painful, absent or newly irregular, belongs with a clinician.
