The three cycles
Physical (23 days) is traditionally linked to stamina, strength and coordination — the days you feel like moving and the days you feel like resting.
Emotional (28 days) is linked to mood, sensitivity and how open you feel to other people.
Intellectual (33 days) is linked to focus, memory and the appetite for thinking things through.
Each cycle is a simple wave that starts at zero on the day you were born. Your birth date is the only input, so the result is the same for everyone born that day, whatever their gender.

Questions
- What are biorhythms?
- Biorhythm theory, popular in the twentieth century, says three fixed cycles begin at birth and rise and fall throughout life. Each day you sit at a different point on each wave.
- Is there science behind them?
- No. Controlled studies have not found that biorhythms predict performance, mood or accidents. We offer them as a reflective tradition, like the other tools here — for reflection, not prediction.
- Why use them instead of cycle tracking?
- Not everyone has a menstrual cycle to track, or wants to. Biorhythms need only your birth date, so they give anyone a personal rhythm to notice through the month.
